Sometimes quality comes at a steep price, but with the new Best Made Co. Flannel Pullover, its nothing short of living up to the brands name. The new flannels feature a 3-button placket, two chest pockets, and a back locker loop. They’re made of a completely resilient Japanese cotton-flannel with a “softer than a baby’s bottom” hand-feel, but don’t let that fool you, as they’re still able to withstand the wear and tear of time. You can pick up the flannel in three different patterned colorways, and like the rest of their gear they’re cut and sewn in the USA – New York to be exact. ($142)
Quality is key as #Menswear booms faster than we’ve ever seen it before and this John Elliot Co Snap Overshirt is the perfect example of quality in #Menswear. It starts of with a 9 oz Japanese selvedge twill, imported from Japan, with RiRi Cobrax snap buttons imported from Switzerland. The pleated and quilted elbow pads are cut from lamb skin leather imported from Italy and its all put together by hand in Los Angeles. It features a work-shirt fit, with slender arm and body panels and it can be worn anyway you’d like, we wont judge. ($275)
In a little celebration (and excitement) of H&M finally launching their official USA online shop, we put together a style grid for the fall season and made it our STYLEWISE segment for the week. I think we did a pretty damn good job of it and if you like what you see, you should head over to the new H&M USA Online Shop right now and cop some very fairly priced gear.
We’d like to describe this uniform experiment Reversible M-65 Jacket like going to work and happy hour all at the same time (does that make sense?). On one side we find a dressed up pinstripe jacket with a blazer silhouette (for work), but turn it inside-out and you’ve got a dressed down M-65 jacket (for happy hour) – it’s really that simple. Pick it up in khaki, navy or black. ($810 USD)
If you thought desert boots were played out – think again – because Clarks Originals and Horween Leather Company are resurrecting them better than ever before. With the Clarks Desert Boot being used as the template they teamed up with one of the USA’s most celebrated tanneries and applied their high quality leather to the already classic boot. The Clarks Originals x Horween Leather Company Desert Boot is constructed with full Horween Leather Uppers, sits on a traditional crepe sole and is finished with Clark’s iconic hang tag. Of course, the 1Desert Boot is nothing new but we appreciate the push towards higher-quality and unique looks and that’s why they secured this week’s STYLEWISE.
As you might know we like to keep it at a minimalist level around here just like the new A.P.C. x Kanye West collection. It may have sold out already but we’re sure the re-stock will bring you towards purchasing one of the few items that were released. Consisting of exactly two t-shirts, two hooded long-sleeve sweatshirts, one short-sleeve hooded sweatshirt and two types of jeans. Each piece, except for the short-sleeve hoodie, comes in two colorways with nothing but a subtle A.P.C. Kanye tag featured inside. Not exactly what we expected, but it definitely fits our style needs. It’s also not a huge release, but a well executed one seeing that all items are officially sold out. Sorry we couldn’t get this post to you earlier but we’re sure you’ll be able to find the new gear…..somewhere.
What?! STYLEWISE is back in action today with this Undercover K4811 Hooded T-Shirt. Adding a little bit of winter to summer, Undercover brings us a light cotton hooded tee for the hot months ahead. It features a marbled pattern throughout and houses a single nylon, Velcro fastening pocket situated at the left chest that actually looks like a perfect fit for your iPhone. They’ve also added to the pocket with a small woven patch noting lyrics from the Talking Heads classic single: “Psycho Killer.” I’d say they’ve got a pretty unique piece here.
Unionmade collaborates with various brands in Arthur, Gitman Vintage, Golden Bear, Journal Standard and AnonymousIsm for their Unionmade Naturals collection. Their exclusive collection sets out to use a variety of simple and neutral colors which deem perfect for the warmer months ahead.
